Complete design requirements while balancing innovative product design with functional requirements, cost structure and aesthetic appeal.
Track trends, color research, and new developments in products and materials.
Effectively communicate ideas with drawings, sketches, tear sheets, swatches, and computer renderings.
Keep abreast of current trends in color, fashion, related social expression industries, and competitive products.
Prepare and deliver 100% accurate digital art files and product specifications to Production Department.
Provide design, proofing, samples, approvals and product specification follow-up throughout the development and manufacturing process as needed.
Request hand samples, provide all materials needed to complete sample request, and inspect finished pieces for accuracy.
Manage multiple design projects with tight deadlines switching priorities quickly without losing momentum.
Collaborate with licenses and outside design resources as needed or requested by director.
Communicate project details such as new product information, specifications, and directions to external resources (freelance designers) and vendors (printers and manufacturers) to ensure proper production.
Bachelor's degree in product, graphic or industrial design, or fine arts.
Minimum of 5 years in Product Design.
Familiarity designing product for large mass market retail accounts such as Target, TJX, Wal-Mart, etc.
Outstanding design sense combined with a high level of skill, speed, and accuracy in CS3 or higher in (MAC) is required, Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign proficiency required.
Understanding of print production processes.
Ability to conceptualize and take a job to final production phase.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
