Government Sales Leader - GEIT

Role Summary:
The Government Sales Leader plays an essential role in the development and growth of the GEIT Government sales market. The Government Sales Leader is the primary source of government bid opportunities for the Commercial Sales Team. This role is focused on supporting the commercial sales team in the government market and ensures smooth development and timely submittal of government bids, assists in risk review of RFQs and contracts, and coordinates any subsequent contract negotiations necessary.
Essential Responsibilities:
In the role of Government Sales Leader ? GEIT, you will:
+ Be responsible for all aspects of contract development, including proposal development, pricing strategy, risk review and response, customer negotiations, customer communications and issue resolution
+ Manage the GSA schedule contract, with the goal of making it a Sales Tool that enables the Commercial Sales Team to easily sell to all Federal Govt agencies
+ Be able to find and qualify government sales opportunities, passing on to the Sales Team for development, increasing sales
+ Identify and develop proposals for long term repair contracts for government fleet owners as sales enhancement / follow-on support to large government customers
+ Posses deep understanding of the risk process and tools for ensuring appropriate bid compliance and risk mitigation prior to release of a proposal to a customer
+ Co-ordinate completion / respond to Government forms / Reps and Certs requests
+ Contribute to DoD branch sales strategies to drive improvement in win rate
+ Manage communication of government wins in one territory across all US territories to utilize application wins to drive similar wins across the country
+ Request and coordinate bid-related tasks from internal functional areas (Sales, Contract Risk Manager, Finance, Legal, Production) required to create bid package for timely submittal
+ Be familiar with impact of all T&Cs clauses such that the requirement for input from a Contracts Manager or Legal specialist is identifiable
+ Ensure all documentation is available for Bid review meetings, distributes pricing, competitive info, government entity history
+ Present high-volume proposals to Leadership Team for discussion and approval prior to quotation
+ Manage the GSA contract to maximize government sales, minimize risk, and maintain / improve competitive position in relation to other GSA schedule holders
+ Advise Product Line Management & Supply Chain on fulfillment requirements
+ Support Government work with other modalities as required Qualifications/Requirements:
+ Bachelor?s Degree in Business from an accredited college or university
+ Minimum 10 years of experience in government sales Desired Characteristics:
+ Master?s Degree in Business or Finance from an accredited college or university
+ Prior experience in governmental proposal development, contract negotiation and execution is strongly preferred
+ Prior DoD or Military Contracting Experience
+ Prior Commissioned Officer serving in US Military
+ Demonstrated ability to influence and lead cross functional teams
+ Effective use of Personal Computer Technologies, including MSOffice and platforms such as Salesforce.com
+ Effective oral and written communication
+ Strong interpersonal and leadership skills
+ Integrative team working style
+ Knowledge of governmental requirements, implications of contracts, terms and conditions, negotiation, etc. to allow constructing contracts with sales optimization
+ Creative solution and problem-solving skills
+ RVI (Remote Visual Inspection) knowledge and experience
+ Knowledge of how government requirements affect the business model
+ Deep understanding of the risk process and tools for ensuring appropriate bid compliance and risk mitigation prior to release of a proposal to a customer

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
