Overview:

This role is a member of the North American Mars Global Services ‚€“ Finance (Accounts Payable (AP) and Travel and Expense (T&E)) team. The primary responsibilities of this role are providing reliable cash forecasting to business units, oversight of AP Audit & Controls, and serving as the conduit between AP/T&E Transformation and operations.¬ ¬

It is critical that this role report directly into the AP/T&E Manager in order for standardization and transformational efforts to get traction within the department, as line of one. However, this role is an integral part of the MFS AP/T&E transformational journey and so will maintain an indirect reporting relationship into the AP/T&E Transformation Lead.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support Financial Operations

    • Lead the adequacy of internal control environment and make recommendations regarding Accounts Payable/Travel & Expense Internal Controls.

    • Serve as primary lead to the Internal and External Audit team.

    • Ensure compliance with Internal Control framework.

    • Review 3rd party vendor's SSAE16 report to ensure compliance to all necessary controls.

    • Anticipate and initiate change in the business environment and develop and implement compensating system / process modifications.

    • Ensures closure of action items from audits


  • Transformation

    • Working with AP/T&E Transformation Lead, determine operational impact of initiatives and develop implementation plan


  • Forecasting and Analysis

    • Co-pilot business units by partnering with local S&F teams to deliver financial reporting, insights, and analysis

    • Perform complex ad hoc financial analysis and reports, as required.


  • Continuous Improvement

    • Lead continuous improvement initiatives, aiming to deliver efficiencies in operations.

    • Lead standardization and documentation efforts across supported processes.



Education & Professional Qualification:

  • Bachelor's degree Accounting / Finance or Business required

  • CPA preferred

  • MBA preferred

  • 4 to 6 years of relevant experience

Knowledge/Experience:


¬ 



  • In-depth knowledge of Procure-to-Pay process, GAAP, auditing & control environment

  • 3 years of Accounting experience

  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills required

  • Demonstrated ability to work well under pressure, handle multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines is essential

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
