This role is a key member of the North American Mars Global Service (MGS) Finance Accounts Receivable Team and an integral part of the transformational journey. The role is responsible for leading process improvements to drive operational effectiveness, as well as, developing and deploying training strategy for the Mars Global Services (MGS) Finance Accounts Receivable (AR) team. As such this role will be responsible to proactively identify, design and deliver relevant training to build expert knowledge, leadership and change management capabilities. This role will partner with MGS Finance Managers, Functional Experts, and Team Leads to proactively identify and work on process and operating model optimization.


Key Responsibilities:


Operational Effectiveness:

  • Provide indirect leadership of Accounts Receivable teams by actively identifying and working on process and operational model optimization, recommending areas for improvement and providing coaching as required

  • Act as the subject matter expert in Mars Financial Services Accounts Receivable area and be instrumental in helping to execute business objectives

  • Applies performance improvement expertise to accelerate operational effectiveness

  • Partner with AR MGS Finance managers to establish clear operational priorities

  • Support transformation/change initiatives through the use of change management frameworks ensuring minimal impact to business performance

  • Run and monitor improvement projects

  • Ensuring an adequate internal control environment as well as make recommendations regarding improvements of Internal Controls


Capabilities development:

  • Partner with MGS Finance Managers and Functional Experts to develop and deploy training strategy

  • Proactively identify, design, and deployed relevant training to build expert knowledge

  • Build capabilities on operational level, develop key mindsets, and raise competency level within team

  • Design and update existing training materials and user guides when necessary

  • Ensure training materials are clear & catered to varied learning styles

  • Facilitate workshops and provide action-oriented training solutions

  • Evaluate training programs by monitoring & measuring effectiveness

  • Create & manage a training calendar across the organization

  • Govern training process and ensure training documentation retention


Education & Professional Qualification:


  • Bachelor's Degree (Finance/Accounting/or Business related field) required

  • MBA a plus

  • 3+ years of relative experience




  • In-depth knowledge of Accounts Receivable best practices, processes, and internal controls

  • 2+ years of Mars Accounts Receivable experience

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
