The primarry purpose of this role is to support the Senior Finance¬ Business Partner¬ to provide partnership to VP's/Directors of Mars Global¬ Services businesses and MGS Overhead Functions.¬  This includes, but is not limited to (i) traditional FP&A support, (ii) stakeholder, risk and investment management support, and (iii) acquisition integration support.¬  The role is likely to adjust and flex based on demand within MGS. The job holder will also need good execution skill, strong analytical capability, superior problem solving skills, strong technical, functional & business acumen and familiarity with change management.¬ 


Job Responsibilities:


Finance governance (20%)

  • Be responsible for setup/implementation of the finance processes and procedures in term of control, planning and reporting.

  • Ensure the finance governance and proper controls are in place

  • dentify risks through process review, and financial analysis and take proper actions


Reporting (30%)

  • Provide financial insight to MGS Service Business and MGS Overhead Functions ,including analysis and inputs to key customers on

  • Periodic financial reporting and presentations,

  • Cost allocation and impact to segment/business

  • Support for team meetings and business unit governance reviews

  • Ad hoc requests

  • Setup proper cost hierarchy and cost centers to accurately report operating/non-operating cost of service business in a structured manner

  • Manage the finance closing process to ensure it is completed timely and accurately

  • Manage the cost billing process to ensure all the costs are properly billed to business units

  • Track and Report periodic & YTD results vs latest budget, flat out the current view of "Risks & Opportunities", communicate key variances and maintain rolling year-end forecasts whilst maintaining continual alignment with key stakeholders


Planning (40%)

  • Provide operational support to MGS service businesses and MGS Overhead Functions with their actual and plan, including budget manager training and support during plan cycles:

    • Coordinate and facilitate the annual operating plan/replan and budget revision processes

    • Ensuring business/segment targets are fully understood and communicated by all involved stakeholders

    • Ensuring entries into budgeting system are complete, accurate and aligned with targets, constraints and parameters

    • Providing insightful information on service business performance by analysis on key cost drivers and performance matrix

  • Support the financial integration of acquired businesses, as applicable

  • Manage the cost allocation and billing process of service business. Develop robust cost allocation methodology and maintain proper allocation to business unit.

  • Participate in the mid-term and long term planning of service business


Process improvement¬  (10%)

  • Challenge existing processes, defining new and more efficient solutions and applying best practices.

  • Routinely assist with high profile, ad-hoc projects


Education & Professional Qualification:

  • Bachelor's Degree

  • CPA/ACA/CIMA/ACCA or relevant finance experience.


Knowledge & Experience:


  • 3-5+ years of experience working in a finance/planning environment

  • Experience of working in a global function/organization (working across different time-zones/regions).

  • Excellent analytical and problem solving skills

  • Strong organizational and communication skills (both verbal and written)

  • Strong interpersonal skills including the ability to successfully influence associates within & outside the S&F function.

  • Ability to work effectively with all levels within the organization.

  • Knowledge in SAP & MS Office (Strong Excel skills desired, i.e. pivot tables)

  • Fluency in English is essential

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
