Job Purpose Overview: ¬ 

MGS Overheads and Intercompany Manager - The primary purpose of this role is to provide financial support and analysis for the MGS support functions (MGS Commercial, S&F, P&O, Corporate Affairs, Facilities, and Service Excellence) and the MGS Leadership Team ( $50m/yr). Additionally, this role will be responsible for financial support and analysis for MGS costs originating locally across Mars Inc and financial operation optimization consistent with 1MGS



Key Responsibilities:¬  ¬ 


  • Prepare the period financial summary and analysis on MGS OH's to the leads of the support function and FLT including period actuals versus budget, risks/opportunities and business updates

  • Prepare period financial summary for MGS costs originating locally across Mars Inc. (gross-ups $50m and intercompany $80m) ensuring that trends and anomalies are identified, investigated, understood and process remediation followed through

  • Ensuring periodic close process is completed timely and accurately including system interfaces and standard reporting and dashboards

  • Prepare periodic and historical MGS headcount reports that show where every MGS associate maps to in the MGS financial hierarchy

  • Generate ad hoc financial reports as requested by the MGS FLT




Financial Planning & Shaping:

  • Prepare annual and year to go forecasts for MGS overheads including challenge of and alignment with stakeholders

  • Submit the agreed MGS OH Plan figures as part of MGS standard planning activities

  • Refresh the annual allocation / assessment rules for the Overhead costs and work with the Controller's group to ensure actuals are assessed correctly to the service businesses

  • Provide regular function aligned forecasts and view of risks/opportunities to MGS Planning & Consolidation Lead


Financial operation optimization and acquisition integration support:

  • Mange the S&F process directory and repository to ensure all process documentation is complete and current

  • Challenge existing processes, define new and more efficient solutions and apply best practices in a standard way across 1MGS

  • Routinely assist with ad-hoc projects

  • Support the financial integration of newly acquired businesses, usually as a member of project team, including the establishing of financial processes and impact analysis



Key Functional Skills/Knowledge/ Preferred Qualifications:

  • 3-5+ years of experience working in a finance/planning environment, leadership experience in a shared services organization, experience of working in a global function/organization (working across different time-zones/regions)


  • Excellent analytical and problem solving skills, strong organizational and communication skills (both verbal and written), strong interpersonal skills including the ability to successfully influence associates within & outside the S&F function, ability to work effectively with all levels within the organization, knowledge in data warehouse and reporting tools, SAP & MS Office (Strong Excel skills desired, i.e. pivot tables), fluency in English is essential


Education: ¬ ¬ 

  • MBA in Finance CPA/ACA/CIMA/ACCA or relevant finance experience

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
